This mod is part of the Universal Electricity modpack, which is available through the Feed the Beast launcher, or for download at the website here. The mod itself isn’t really stand-alone, as it doesn’t really add a way to generate or use the power, only to transfer and store it. Now, on to the good stuff.
The first thing that this mod adds that you’ll need is wiring. Not much use storing the energy if you can’t transfer it, right? You can make insulated wiring in much the same way as with IndustrialCraft, but using leather instead of rubber. You can also detect how much energy is going through the wires with a Handheld Multimeter, or by using the block version of the multimeter.
There are two other forms of wire, being a switch wire and a logistics wire. These can be made with any type of wiring. The switch wire requires a redstone signal to work, and will disconnect when there isn’t one. The logistics wire will emit a redstone signal when power is running to it.
Now, there’s a more efficient way to produce wires added with this mod (I lied when I said you couldn’t use power) called the Wire Mill. It outputs three uninsulated copper wire per ingot, which can then be wrapped with leather in a crafting table.
It also adds in an advanced battery box, which holds a base of 5MJs, and has three upgrade slots for different upgrades.
This mod adds in a whole lot of stuff, and if I were to tell you about all of it we’d be here until next Monday talking about stuff. It’s a great mod that adds in a ton of awesome things.
