When using a texturepack with a resolution of this level; it is required that a foreign patcher is used to allow the texture pack to result correctly and in turn, work as it should. Without a mod or program to patch your game, and texturepack; the pack would turn out buggy, ugly out possibly not work at all. Animations such as liquids, fires and torches may look strange or simply have a blank white texture instead of its real, proper texture. Often the official forum for the pack will state if it is necessary to patch the texture pack afterwards however with any texture pack is it recommended that you still use a patcher simply to be safe.
How to Download and Install Faithful Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.8.3, 1.7.10 and 1.7.2
- Download and install the Optifine mod, for automatic patching. Or download and manually patch your texturepacks with the MCPatcher program.
- Download the Faithful texture pack for minecraft 1.8.3, 1.7.10 and 1.7.2
- Browse to %appdata%/roaming/.minecraft and open the “texturepacks” folder. Or simply open the “texturepacks” folder from within the texturepacks menu selection.
- Drag the entire downloaded texturepack zip file into your “texturepacks” folder. (Do not unzip)
- Use the mcpatcher program, unless the optifine mod has been installed.
