The game of minecraft was built around a single idea of survival. Over the updates, the mojang team have devoted themselves to improving and enhancing this idea, not only by introducing new AI’s, and blocks, but also simple features that are often passive in your game. It is the basic survival equipment that is the key to your survival, and as the majority of each minecraft player would know; a players first instinct is to obtain wood. Even so, this job takes time and sometimes wood can be a limited source. Hence the reason why mohang implemented the growth feature, and sapplings. Once a sapling has been obtained; the player/holder of the sapling can plant and grow in its suitable condition(s). Like all things, things will take time to grow. Tree farms have been the key to survival since sapplings and growth were introduced. The reason being; players had an unlimited source of wood, leaves, food and also fuel in the palm of their hands. However, the task of harvesting this wood was never improved. It all came down to how patient the player is, and also how good his/her axe is.
The Forestry Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10, 1.7.2 and 1.6.4 not only implements, easier and more efficient wood harvesting techniques, but also introduces a set of unique ideas. Crafting recipes, blocks, and even machinery can be crafted by using excess wood and wood based materials. Each of these newly implemented blocks, items and materials work together to not only aid you in your quest for survival, but also decrease difficulty in many day-to-day jobs you may suffer in minecraft.
Forestry Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10, 1.7.2 and 1.6.4 Main Features
By starting off with the individual, simplistic idea of an automatic tree farming mod; the developer soon came up with a new series of ideas that would match, and work alongside the main mod idea perfectly. Introduces new ways of survival and even communication, both in singleplayer, and also multiplayer too. In the process of developing the mod itself; the creator has tried to blend it with the “build craft” mod for minecraft . He succeeded. By using the Buildcraft mods unique machinery and robotic equipment, the forestry mod can work side by side with the Buildcraft mod and allow even more efficient techniques to forestry farming and also untouched minecraft problems.
Not only does the Forestry mod for minecraft , introduce automated tree farming techniques; but it also allows the automated farming of growing and harvesting produce such as wheat, pumpkins and also melons. While implementing this simple, yet very useful idea; the forestry mod also implements 3 new natural spawning ores, and gems that are used to craft the initial items/machinery for the automatic forestry mod. These natural spawning ores are called:
When using the industrialcraft mod, the mod will not interfare with the mod at all. It works perfectly, without errors, side by side with most mods. As it was built to blend with the two useful mods; Buildcraft and Industrial craft.
Forestry Mod for Minecraft Usage
When using the mod, you must be very careful how you spend or waste the materials you obtain. The ores and gems are not necessarily rare, however as this mod is supposed to enhance, and decrease the difficulty of surviving in your world, all it takes is to use common sense. Knowing the crafting recipes is the hardest part about the mod. Seeing as there are so many new implemented machines, items, ores and farms; this mod can be a difficult one to use. Even so, the mod is relatively easy to use once these recipes and usage techniques have been memories. Thankfully there is a wiki on this mod, allowing players who cannot quite grasp these recipes to learn, or use the page as a backup. The wiki page can be found >>here<<.
