Legopak Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10

Many people believe that minecraft was inspired by the amazing, legendary; Lego product. Building, placing and breaking “blocks” of Lego were a huge part of the product itself. Even the minecraft character models look similar to the lego people. As interesting as it is, the creator of minecraft denies the fact that Lego played a big part in the creation of the idea of minecraft. This may or may not be true; however in many players’ minds; this rumour sits in their heads like it was true all along. However if minecraft were to be truly implemented to look and feel like minecraft, it would be obvious then that minecraft was really based on the product; Lego.

The LegoPack Texture Pack for minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10, replaces the default textures that minecraft originally comes with, with new and extremely unique textures that resemble the Lego product. Ordinary texture packs simply change the textures either into a more detailed, or a simple, themed pack. Via it be medieval or cartoony based. However in the process of creating this wonderful piece of art, the texture pack artist has changed the textures of the default texture pack into new and very extraordinary blocks of Lego. Each and every individual texture, with this texture pack, will resemble something from the Lego product. Blocks and items have been changed significantly for the theme to work correctly. However most textures are still recognisable simply because of their colour and basic format.

Features

While introducing new and very unique texture types, the Legopack texture pack also implements a sort of joyous feeling into the game. You feel as if you were young again, playing with your Lego set, however this time, much more interactive. Let alone the vast expanse of what you can build with your new; “Lego pieces”. Every single block, items and mob has been changed to look very much the same as the Lego products, even water, lava and weather have been manipulated into resembling the wondrous form of Lego. However, sometimes the texture pack can be very overwhelming to use and often gets slightly frustrating to use. Simply because everything looks strange and a significant amount of change has been made to the original game of minecraft.

Often a lower quality texture pack can prove itself to be more detailed than others. However this all depends on the theme and motivation the texture pack. If the theme of the texture pack has been based on a simplistic, yet cartoony design that does not require an intense amount of detail; including a high resolution; then the texture pack can be designed to suit its lower resolution but still look realistic or defined for its theme. This is easier to do when the texture pack is based around something cartoony or “childish” almost.

Usage

When using the Legopack texture pack, it is not required; however if you wish a patcher can be downloaded and used to allow extra content for the texture pack to be implemented into the game. A patcher is extremely recommended to users who already have high definition or patcher required texture packs installed on their game. Patcher allows the texture pack to work properly and process correctly. When installing a normal texture pack it is still recommended that you install and use a patcher so that your other texture packs will also be patched if experiencing errors or bugs.

Blocksmith Hybrid Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10

Since the update of Minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10, developers all around the community have been jumping with joy as they could now put their own custom animations into Minecraft. However, sometimes it is hard to spot what is a good animation and what isn’t. If you are tired of searching for a high quality animated resource pack then look no further. The Blocksmith Hybrid Texture Pack is perfect for anyone wanting to add moving parts to their Minecraft world. I really like this texture pack as it remains faithful to vanilla, and just adds in some more cool stuff like animations and sounds!

The developer made some smaller changes too. Like editing the vanilla cobblestone to be slightly more bearable.

Blocksmith Hybrid Texture Pack

The best thing in this resource/texture pack is the animations. Blocksmith changes and adds movements to so many vanilla items, it is quite amazing! There are too many to list, but I do have some favorites. The diamond ore block now shines. The redstone ore has a cool move too! The grass and leave blocks move with the wind, and the TNT is on fire!

That is just the blocks. The creator also made an effort with items too. The sign now appears to write itself. The shears move back and forth, as does the fishes tail. The rotten flesh has visible flies and the egg cracks before your eyes.

There are so many more animations to note, but I will let you find them for yourself. All of these smaller changes add up to a big change. If you download and install this resource pack will notice a lot more life in your Minecraft save.

MarioCraft AllStar Texture Pack 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10

So we have here another texture pack based on the popular nintendo game ‘Super Mario All stars’. We all love this classic game, and we all love minecraft. So if you mix these together, you can imagine how cool the game gets. It uses original features and textures from the Mario game, and also the creator ‘WiiRool’ has created some brilliant blocks, items and mobs too that are strikingly similar to features from the Mario games. He uses flowers from the original games, as well as cobblestone, vines, and the oh-so infamous Mario ‘shrooms. Another thing that will definitely beckon many minecraft players are the mobs. ‘WiiRool’ has done an exceptional job making it so that each mob is given it’s own identity as a Mario character – for instance, the pigs are made to look like Yoshi and villagers are made to look like Toad. There are many many different mobs with their own Mario edition identities! But I’ll leave it to you to discover more and dig deeper into this texture pack!

MarioCraft AllStar Texture Pack MarioCraft AllStar Texture Pack

There are an equal amount of good things and bad things about this texture pack. Here’s a few I picked out:

Good things

  • Accurate textures
  • Features from the original game
  • Each mob has it’s own Mario edition identity
  • It re-creates the game in a very similar fashion

Bad things

  • A few glitches, which spoils the experience a bit
  • Some textures don’t fit the theme
  • The creator should fix numerous blocks so that they don’t appear glitched
  • Some blocks appear too bright

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TFVBctIUUs’]

As you can see in this screenshot above, the quality is great and the similarities between the game and this texture is outstanding, and what stands out the most in this texturepack are the mobs, and there’s much more to it!

In this screenshot you can instantly tell that it promotes a very colourful and fun atmosphere while playing minecraft. Almost every block is colourful and bright but it might not be for everyone, but the whole idea of Super Mario All stars is to be wacky, colourful, bright and fun!

Doctor Who Texture Pack 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10

We all know the amazing tv series “Doctor Who” where our favorite movie hero travels around time in a telephone booth looking for more and more adventures. The series has generated a huge load of fans, you can find people who watch Doctor Who in every single country of the world. The Fan’s became so big that they started implementing Doctor Who elements into games, as well as Minecraft. This texture pack is influenced by the Doctor WHo series and it is realy amazing.

Doctor Who Texture Pack

The texture pack represents the whole of the Doctor Who world, it is made for people who would want to enjoy being as a part of Doctor Who. The texture pack design has been done really well, 8/10 in my personal opinion. The lighting of the world is ambient, and varies between day and night. There is a big difference between the atmospheres of day and night. They change. The atmosphere is gloomy, and mystic. Not a good choice for using as a daily texture pack and for uplifting moods.
Some servers are Doctor Who dedicated, but do not have the right feel without the appropriate texture pack. This is the best choice.

Memory’s Survival Texture Pack 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10

The Texture Pack of Minecraft, The Default Texture Pack of Minecraft is good enough. Truthfully. It’s simplistic, but detailed enough to play with. It has it’s own theme, and as we all should know; themes control the mood or feeling the game gives off. Simple changes to a simple pack can be a great step into making a very professional Texture Pack. Even though the Memory’s Survival Texture Pack hasn’t made overly subtle texture changes, the simple, yet strong textures that have been changed are very effective and leave a good statement as the Texture Pack itself.

The 90gQ texture pack is an HD just like what the title said but that isn’t all, there are lots more happening in this texture pack than you would have ever imagined. There are lots of things added by this texture pack for example: there are just some random parkor in front of you and you start risking your life jumping to it. Also there are soda machines, game cubes, traffic signs, and painting around which you will actually recognize it when you try playing. Forest fires rock in this texture pack, and just like the normal minecraft game… fire isn’t good with woods lol! ScareCraft Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10

The ScareCraft Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10 is a great Texture Pack. The designer’s aim was to make a basic, simple Texture Pack that had a scary or spooky theme. The Texture Pack does have a creepy feel to it, but it’s definitely a work in progress. I’m not sure if I like it as much as many other packs. But i’m sure that many people out there will like it far more than I do. It’s very similar to the Default Texture Pack. However the textures are a lot darker, and have been edited to fit the spooky/scary theme. It’s quite well done, but seeing as it’s been made at a low resolution the texture’s are still simplistic. It would be amazing to see this pack in another resolution, higher, and I can’t wait to see it’s next updates in the future.

[yframe url=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsBjlbkzx-E’]

ScareCraft Texture Pack ScareCraft Texture Pack

The pictures above really show off the pack at it’s best. I love the way everything has been designed. It’s really relaxed, and smooth. Perhaps the tiling could have been done a little better? Like I said though, it’s a really nice start. And already is fun to use.
