Mods are developed usually to implement client side features into the game. A lot of the times, these mods, along with its feature, are introduced to the game with unique functions. However, these mods can only be experienced through singleplayer, rather than with your friends. Only few mods out of the bunch are created to be SMP (Multiplayer Server) compatible also. The Player Heads mod for Minecraft created by FatherToast; is not only a wondrous and unique mod; but is also one that can be enjoyed with your friends, or your foe. On a private or public server, this mod can be enjoyed on any multiplayer minecraft server out there. Even so, multiplayer compatible mods usually mean that not only the server must have the mod installed, but the players and users of the server also. Attempting to join a modded server, with the incorrect mods installed client side will result with the server rejecting your log in attempt. Meaning you will not be able to join the server at all. After the installation process for the server/mod installation, you are required to install the Minecraft Forge mod, and also the Player heads mod too.
The mod itself works to implement a better version of a feature that the Vanilla Minecraft already contains. Mob heads are already a unique feature in the game of Minecraft, however on servers, the ability to obtain another players mob head has never been officially implemented into the game. For this reason, has the mod creator taken the opportunity to develop a mod that on its own; allows a player to obtain the head of another player after killing that particular person. After killing a player, there is a 10% chance of that players head being dropped, along with its skin and name labelled on the item. For example, if I were to slay a player named “Herobrine” and a head dropped, it would have Herobrine’s skin and be labelled “Herobrine”. It is possible to have multiple heads of the same player, however different heads cannot be stacked together.
