PowerCraft Mod Factory for Minecraft 1.5.2 and 1.6

A couple of notes before we begin here.  You will need NEI to check the recipes.  CraftGuide and similar mods will not work.  This mod also needs at least one of its main modules and its core module to work.  I’d just install all of them and then remove the ones I don’t use.  I won’t go too in-depth with the Weasel, since I know almost nothing of computer programming, and tutorials for everything can be found on the wiki.

Where to begin with this mod…  Well, I s’pose I could begin with the first thing you’ll notice, which is the world-generated content, referred to here-on a worldgen.  It only adds one piece of worldgen, which are the power crystals.  There are eight different colours, and they can all be found in veins of their own colour.  They all craft into the same thing, Power Dust, which is used as fuel in machines and lasts twice as long.  You get 24 power dusts from one power crystal.  The crystals can also be used to craft an Activation Crystal, which has the following uses:

  • Activating the miner, Fishing machine, Big chest, and the chunk loader
  • Setting the miner for keyboard control
  • Changing what monsters the mob spawner spawns.  (the spawners are craftable, too!)
  • Editing text on signs
  • Picking up storage blocks (chests, etc) without breaking them

The Activation Crystal is crafted with a Power Crystal on top of an iron ingot.

The next item I’ll mention is the Ore Sniffer.  Those of you who used Equivalent Exchange’s Divining Rod will know that when Pahimar removed them a big part of your mining was taken away and you had to learn to live without them.  This item right here will do the same thing, but better.  it will actually allow you to see what’s in that block you scan.  Layer by layer, you can see everything behind that stone wall.

The checkpoint module for this mod adds in a checkpoint plate.  It changes your spawn point and allows you to give yourself items after you respawn there.

The deco module adds in a few new decorative blocks.  Nothing functional, just looks pretty.

There are a few others like Lighting, transport, etc which I won’t go into and bore most of you with.  The wiki link is found above, click around and you’ll find what you’re looking for.
