Have you ever felt like your world was being taken over by darkness? Ever wonder what life would be like in a place void of color? As the name suggests, RGC Shadowcraft, is filled with shadow and evil. Despair comes to mind when you see this pack. You might be able to compare the art style to that of the movie Sin City.
This picture does a good job of capturing the pack’s feel. Everything is a shade of gray but the redstone. The colors are vibrant and bold against the dark background.
The crops in this picture make a good example of the contrast the pack gives. They are displayed nicely in front of the dark gray background. The scarecrow even seems to be enjoying the crops.
It is sort of scary while playing. There is such little color in a usually colorful game. Everything becomes mysterious and forbidden. Notice the water and how even that is set to the mood of the pack. I’m all for packs that make water look less inviting than in it is in the default textures.
RGC ShadowCraft Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.11, 1.9.4, 1.8.9 and 1.7.10 Pros and Cons
I loved the movie Sin City. I’m no art student but I can appreciate the contrast of color in a black and white world. I think that this pack has done this in an attractive way that required an amount of time to accomplish. Not too many textures are changed but some people like default and others don’t. This pack set out to great a gloomy feeling in your game and it has. Not a single texture I feel has been done wrong. I can’t see a single thing wrong with this pack other than maybe it makes you feel too sad and detached from reality. Just everything is dark so you might want to turn your brightness up.
