- Go to ~\.minecraft\versions.
- Copy the “1.7.2 and 1.6.4″ folder and paste it into the versions folder.
- Rename it something else, like “1.7.3Modded”.
- Go into the 1.7.3Modded folder and rename the .jar and .json files to 1.7.3Modded.
- Open the .json file and find “id”: “1.7.2 and 1.6.4″ and change it to “id”: “1.7.2 and 1.6.4 Modded”.
- Save and close it.
- Download modloader to your desktop.
- Extract it.
- Open the extracted folder.
- Open up the 1.6.2Modded.jar.
- Delete the META-INF folder.
- Drag all of the files from the modloader file into the 1.7.2Modded.jar.
- Run your minecraft launcher.
- Select “Edit Profile”.
