Survival is one of the biggest themes of Minecraft. Not to mention the most enjoyable, and time draining feature of the game. During a players quest for survival, night time is known to be dangerous. Even though sleeping is the quickest way to escape the night; sometimes sleeping can be useful to skip times. Perhaps you have another separate mod installed that would require the usage of a bed, however you can’t sleep until night time. Maybe you need to save your home location, your death spawn by sleeping in a bed. This leads me to another point of survival, if a player were to be killed by a monster, or even another player; they re-spawn. However, without a bed and a save location that player would have no other place except for the original, default spawning location of the world.
With the Sleep Anytime mod for Minecraft 1.6.2, it allows players to, as the name states, sleep at any time of the day/night. This can be useful for maps, saving locations on dangerous and deadly points; or simply to switch into a new day! I find, that when using this amazing mod; the little tasks become a lot easier. Instead of having to wait for the sun to set, simply sleep and the next day will come. Even for such a small and simple idea, the mod has proved to be quite interesting and well developed.
