I believe I can fly, man. With this mod you actually can fly. It only adds in one item at the moment: the Airship. Relatively cheap, requiring only five wool, two string, a boat and a furnace. You slap these four items into a crafting table like so:
And BOOM! You’ve got flight. Well, you’re not done quite yet. It requires coal to function. Just hold some in your hand and spam your right mouse button (or whatever else your action hotkey is set to) and then switch to an empty hand, right click again, and you can fly in this bad-boy. Just imagine how much time you could save going between bases, or even getting back to your mine that’s about a thousand blocks from your base. I’m pretty sure these are faster than rails in the long run, and a lot easier to set up. When you first place it into the world it may lag a bit, but it’s nothing game-breaking. It also has a glitch where the airship turns invisible at certain angles. The controls are very simple as well. WASD for movement on the X plane, Z to go up, X to go down. From what I understand, he plans to add in other modes of transportation later on, as well. Also, Spyro fans out there… This looks like the Whirligig, doesn’t it?

I'm sure we've all wanted to be able to fly in survival mode. Other mods may add it in, but it's usually way too expensive. The airship mod adds in flight for an alright price.
