The Lord of the Rings Mod for Minecraft 1.4.7

The Lord of the Rings is an incredible story, known by many. Though this is an amazing story, including having been made into one of the most popular movies of all time; it has taken a significant amount of time for a mod to be released, used on minecraft. But alas, finally it has been released; and it has been developed to absolute perfection. The mod developer has clearly put his own time and effort into the creation of the Lord of the Rings mod. All of the features, from the initial stories have been implemented into your world of minecraft. No longer will you be restricted to the repetitive, never ending biomes and oceans. This mod will implement all of Middle Earth into your world of minecraft, including places such as Mordor, and even the shire. All other locations have been developed, and or are being developed for future updates.

However, taking it just that little bit further into detailed mod development, the creator has granted players the ability to switch dimensions, from the ordinary; spacey world of vanilla minecraft. Or teleport to the extreme, and beautiful world of Middle Earth, home to many new monsters and mobs. Adventure to the end of the middle-earth, explore the new lands and settlements. Even do this with your friends, said reason being; the mod has been made SMP compatible also. The mod developer has generously implemented an SMP (multiplayer) compatible version.
